Big site changes!

No Chapter 8 yet: still re-proofing it. In the interim, though, I'm pleased to present some changes to the site: some massive, some minor.
Most importantly, there is the new Parellian Calendar in the RTIP Extras sections. Enabling an "on this day in history" perspective of the world in which the New Dawn Chronicles take place, it is packed with dates from the NDC Glossary: from birthdays to battles, abdications to inventions. Either browse via the main calendar page, pick a day at random, or select the current day's history from the page or the sidebar anywhere in the extras area. The calendar section will also be augmented eventually with a time-line system.
In concert with this addition, the glossary itself has recieved a huge overhaul. Each entry now has a collection of extra links of direct relevance to parts of the site other than just the glossary. Associated dates link to the calendar; main characters link to the new database-driven character sheets; people with family history pages now are linked to their place in the tree; and geographic locations now link to the maps, focusing in on the position automatically. There are a selection of other links in the pipework, most notably to the forthcoming gallery section. Browsing accessibility is now improved, with larger text and alternative header colouring for selected entries, instead of just simple anchoring.
As well as a couple of minor security fixes, the novel pdf files now have their version listed as part of the header page, a few static Google-friendly pages are making an appearance (albeit in fairly inaccessible locations: it's just because the spiders seem to get confused by some of the dynamic content!), and I'm starting to make a bit more of an effort to find decent sites to link to in the links sections.
